One more rehersal and then showtime!

We will be meeting at our regular time and place this Tuesday (7:00-8:30 Walkersville). Please come in whatever part of your costume you have. We'll change into the rest of it at the church. This will be our chance to polish all the work we've done. This weekend is our two performances! We are the first ward performing, so do your best to come at our call time so we can be dressed and ready. We will be meeting in the small gym at the stake center. Friday April 20th – Arrive at 6, Roadshows begin at 7. Saturday April 21st – Arrive at 4:40, Roadshows begin at 5:30. Pack something to eat for dinner. This is the night the judges will be there. Rehersal

The final Rehearsal will take place THIS Tuesday at regular time [7-8:30]. 
Somethings to bring:

1. Your costume!!! Please try very hard to have it with you! We want to see how it will look all put together :)
2. Your lines MEMORIZED! Since this is our practice we would hope your ready for a show.
3. Your best self! Please be serious and attentive for this IS our last rehearsal. 
4. Any props your group is using. (Ex. The beatles- wigs)

Dear roadshow cast and helpers,

There has been some concern that the name “Ausherwoman” might be offensive to people associated with the actual Ausherman Corporation. Obviously, we would not want anything in our show that would take away from the fun and warm spirit our youth always convey. The Stake Presidency has asked us to change the name, so I have listed below all the specific changes that we will need to make to our scripts. I appreciate your willingness to re-learn any lines or songs this will effect.

Bet ACME corp. will read our sign and tremble.

their plans forever more!

What do we have?

A home worth lighting for!

LADYBUG 1: Send out the word! We need to gather bugs from all across the field if we want any hope of stopping the construction. (Sends LADYBUG 2 and LADYBUG 4 off to spread the message)

THE GENERAL: This situation calls for a little intimidation. When they see our display of force, the builders will stop in their tracks.

BOOMING VOICE: (announcer) It's the year 2043, and the ACME Corporation is about to break ground on their newest development...Clover Hill 54.

BOOMING VOICE: (the environmental impact inspector) Hey, wait a minute, is that a stink bug? Everyone stop! Yes I believe... Guys, come look at this! You'll never believe it! A stink bug, right here in Frederick! It's really quite remarkable when you think about it. Why, they've been endangered for 30 years! [deletion] There's no way this development is going through. Once we get the EPA up here, this is going to be a wildlife preservation area.

Finale & Pratice Update

 The next Practice is APRIL 10th!! It is our last chance to practice together!!! Be there! And be prepared with lines & songs memorized!!!


Since the Finale is such a big scene I've added a Finale page on our "app" that has the song and a diagram that shows you where you are suppose to be and when. Click HERE to visit the page.  Here is an example.

Important Practice Update!

Our next practice will be the following Tuesday, April 10^th. This rehearsal will be at the Stake Center and is our only chance to practice on the stage before our performance. We will be adding the set and props. I am asking everyone to be there at 5:30 because we need to be off the stage at 7, for another ward to use it. We will finish up our practice elsewhere in the building and finish at our usual time, 8:30.

          At this rehearsal on the 10^th, we will be trying on our costumes. Please come wearing the parts of your costume that you are supplying. We cannot have everyone going to change shirts and pants in the bathroom. So, please have whatever you've been ask to supply by then and wear anything that you can't just slip on top of your clothes. If you are having trouble finding anything you need, please let me or Sister Markham know soon.

          Last of all, I think this is the time to get rid of the scripts. We only have two rehearsals left and we need to pick up the pace of our run-throughs so our show can meet the 12 minutes time limit. So, I need each of you to come on the 10^th with your line(s) memorized and also your cues. So, if you say something right after a song, be sure to know that. If you follow someone else's line, know their line so you can jump right in after them. Know where it fits into the show so you can anticipate it and even fix things if someone else flubbs. Also, we need everyone to have the lyrics to the finale and any other song memorized so that we can work on being loud.

          This sounds like a lot of things once I type them all out. Here's the summary:

• Have your songs, lines and cues memorized
